From a cinephile point of view, Jonathan Rosenbaum's Moving Places: A Life at the Movies and Barton Byg's Landscapes of Resistance about the German films of Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub are especially interesting. Charles Kindleberger's Historical Economics: Art or Science? also caught my eye.
