Warum ich es tun sollte, weiß ich nicht, aber irgendwie könnte ich mich mit "Jackass" anfreunden. Grund: Auto-Aggression ist die einzige Form von Gewalt, die ich unter gewissen Bedingungen akzeptiere. Im "Standard" war letzthin zu lesen, die Rezensionen des "Jackass"-Films seien fast durchgehend negativ gewesen. Ich habe im Gegenteil den Eindruck, daß die Rezeption (auch der renommierten Medien) erstaunlich positiv ist, inkl. einer anerkennenden "Johnny Knoxville als Intellektueller"-Geschichte in der NY Times [Meet Jackass the Sophisticated Dude]. Man scheint sich mit der Rüdheit der Sprache & Streiche abgefunden zu haben. Das Zitat des Tages stammt aus der "Village Voice": "die-hard self-mutilator Steve-O" [Village Voice Ed Halter (dort findet man auch eine kleine "Jackass"-"Kulturgeschichte"*)].
